Wanted the Perfect Pet

This book “Wanted the Perfect Pet” is written and illustrated by Fiona Robertson. There once a boy named Henry who wanted a perfect dog that had waggy tail, floppy ears, soft wet nose, warm fluffy tongue and most of all, can do tricks. He decided to advertise. A duck that wore like a dog came to him and wanted to be his pet. He played with the duck but he is not good at tricks and catching frisbees. Suddenly Henry noticed that he is a duck instead of a dog but ducks can do more things than dogs so he wrote a list of what ducks can do. After all the duck is his perfect pet. I can think of a connection between me and this book because I always wanted a pet and this little boy also wanted. Overall I think this book is very good because I always wanted a pet.

There

This book “There” is written and illustrated by Marie-Louise Fitzpatrick. This book is a concept children’s picture book. I think this book is very creative and thoughtful. This book is about a little girl who is thinking of “How to get there?”, “What is there?”and “When do I get there?”, but “No, maybe tomorrow.” It think the author wants us to use our imagination to figure out what it means. I can think of many connections to this book. This book makes me think of another book that I once read called “The Little Prince” that is also very imaginative and the main character is also a little child that is very thoughtful and creative. I can also think of a connection from myself, we are always walking to “there”, which is connected because this book is about “there”. Overall, I think this book is very good because it is creative and the pictures are good.

Kindness #5

On Monday and Tuesday, I have to stay after school. So I told my sister we can’t walk together to home, she said okay. Soon I realized that there won’t be anyone at home plus she don’t have a key. I decided to finish my work as soon as possible so that she won’t be waiting so long outside the house. After I finished my work, I walk quickly toward my home. Luckly, she had a good mood that day, I saw her using her laptop at a bench and was hoping that I will come back soon. She said hi to me and that was the end of my school day.

Kindness #4

This week, I help my sister, my mom, and my dad. I did lots of helpings. I poured some water to my sister, I helped my mom get her stuff, and I dry clothes with my dad. I think helping my family is a great choice, and I learned that helping is also kindness.
